Happy Noon Year, the 2011 edition

For the third year in a row, we ventured to the Indianapolis Children's Museum to celebrate "Noon Year".

We began with assembling some ancient Chinese artifacts...

and wearing some hats (and goggles) which one little guy was not too thrilled about!

We put on our scuba gear and went swimming in the coral reef...

and found some choo- choo trains.

Then it was time to count down!  (This was Ruby's favorite part and most definitely the least favorite part for all the boys!)

Snow angels in the confetti has become quite the tradition!

OK, so I've debated telling this story, but most of you reading are moms, so I think you have the stomachs for it.  I lined these four guys up and then noticed a large pile of, hum... how should I say this... okay, poo.  I found a pile of poo in front of the sign.  A museum employee noticed about the same time I did and so we joked a bit about how his day just got a whole lot more difficult (he was a really good guy).  Then it was time for a restroom break before we explored more museum.  I took David into the restroom and discovered that he had had quite the blowout.  Meaning, yep, that pile in front of the sign was most likely his.  Ugh!  Talk about embarrassing mommy moments!

After David got a costume change, we headed to the top floor for a little science (Dave loved the water table.  I wonder why!)

(I just thought this was so sweet the way David grabbed his dad's hand!)

Eli and Ruby enjoyed some hula-hooping...

and then it was time for the carousel.

After quite a bit of waffling, Eli decided he was willing to wait in the long line for the Yule Slide....

and Jason, David, and I had a little race (can you tell who won?).

Per Eli's request, we went into the gift shop (That kid's got Christmas money burning a hole in his pocket!) where David enjoyed the train table and cleaning up confetti!

As chaotic as it was at times, I am really thankful that we all went, especially since none of us made it to the real countdown!
