iheartfaces: Smirk
This week's iheartfaces challenge is "smirk". I was baffled by this one at first. Don't I usually delete the smirk photos?! But, I went through all the photos stored on my computer and in the last batch I found this photo!
This is from spring break, about a year and a half ago. Eli, Ruby and I went to Brown County State Park. We hiked a long trail and found a small creek at the bottom. I just let the kiddos frolick as they wanted while I shot at least 100 photos. I believe there is nothing better to little boys than being given permission to throw rocks (even if it just is into the creek)! This was Eli's expression right before launching a particularly large rock.

iheartfaces: Vroom,vroom
This week's iheartfaces challenge involves including vehicles of any kind. This summer we went out on the boat with my mom and step-dad several times. Of course, being all boy, Eli wanted to drive! I love the expression he has here driving the boat while on Grandpa Mike's lap. Vroom, vroom over to iheartfaces to check out the other awesome entries!

Outsmarted by an 8 year old
All of my kiddos have bithdays within a three week window. Because of this, we have made it clear that not all of them get a big party every year. Enter the following conversation...
Eli: Mom, David gets the big birthday party next year, right?
Me: Yes, since it will be his first birthday.
E: Can we go to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday?
M: No. David won't care about Chuck E Cheese by then.
E: Mom, he won't care about ANY kind of party by then!
Yep, I was once again outsmarted by the logic of an 8 year old!
